Is There a Trailer Hitch for a Motorhome Rated for 750 Lbs Tongue Weight

Question:

I am trying find a solution to a hitch problem. I have an RV and the Class IV hitch on it has a tongue weight of 500#. I would like to put a hitch mounted motorcycle carrier in the hitch but the total weight will be about 750#. I am planning to beef up the suspension but I am concerned that the steel that supports the hitch will not be sufficient to take the added load. Any suggestions would be welcome. I am not interested in being the frame of the RV. thanks

I wouldn't be able to comment on the frame strength but we do have trailer hitch options which can handle the tongue weight load you are looking carry. The best option we have for this would be the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Service Body Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 41990-07 which is rated at 1,600 lbs tongue weight. It will need to be either welded or drilled and bolted onto the frame.
