As long as your 2014 Ram 1500 Laramie was wired for a 7-way connector you can use the 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket w/ Mounting Bracket, Chrysler/Dodge OEM Plug Adapter # HM40975-11933 which will give you a 7-way and 4-way connector. The connector should be behind the rear bumper of your truck.

You should have the connector behind the rear bumper, but if you do not have the the connector to plug in the 7-way connector you will need to add a 4-way connector using the Tekonsha Upgraded Circuit Protected ModuLite with 4-Pole Flat # C59496. If you are only needing a 4-way connector this is all you will need.

If you need a 7-way connector for your trailer you will also need # ETBC7 which will include all of the components necessary to complete the installation, and will give you both a 7-way and 4-way connector.
