Trailer Wiring Problems On A 2019 Chevrolet 2500 High Country

Question:

I have a check trailer wiringinch message on my 2019 high country duramax and it is coming on every time I press my brake pedal without the trailer hooked up and then right after says trailer connected until I let off the brake then when I press the brake again it will run the cycle again and eventually it will say service trailer brake system and will stay off until the truck is restarted

Seems to be the issue is on the blue brake output wire/circuit. That's typically what triggers this error message on the factory systems. That is my best guess, but after looking around I've found that the 7-way on your 2019 Chevrolet Silverado should have the functions as followed:

Green OR Green/Purple - Right Turn/Stop
Red/Black OR Red/Green - 12V Power
Brown OR Gray/Brown - Running Lights
Yellow OR Yellow/Gray - Left Turn/Stop
Green OR White/Green - Reverse
White - Ground
Blue - Brake Controller

If you have two green wires one should be slightly larger than the green wire and that is the reverse light function. The smaller is for the right turn/stop function. I suggest using a tester # PTW2991 to confirm the functions of your truck's 7 pole, then go through the wires on your trailer. It seems like the issue is on your trucks side and you may have to replace your connector # C56000 on the truck. If that doesn't work then you may want
to get a new brake controller like the Redarc # RED44FR with harness # 331-TPH-010.

There are so many more brake controllers that we have available and I've included a video to help you decide if you do end up replacing the brake controller.
