Which 5th Wheel Hitch and Compatible Sidewinder King Pin for 2017 Ram 2500 4x4
Question:
I’m looking to replace a Lippert 1621 pin box with a sidewinder, and would like to know if you have a sidewinder recommendation. Also will need a 5th wheel hitch standard, not-slider and rails to work with my truck and the sidewinder. The truck has the 6’4” bed, and is a 4x4, so need the hitch to adjust high enough to clear the bed rails. Your recommendations would be appreciated.

We've got just what you're looking for when it comes to the hitch and a Sidewinder style pin box for your 2017 Ram 2500.
For the hitch I recommend using the B&W Patriot # BWRVK3255, since it can be adjusted up to 19" tall, which is the tallest available for hitches that will fit your 2017 Ram 2500. B&W is known for their high quality products and the Patriot is no exception; the dual locking jaws are 3/4" thick and provide 360 degrees of king pin contact, so there's better security and less rattle than a standard slide bar jaw. The head on the Patriot is also fully articulating, so it's going to make hooking up your trailer easier and help limit chucking during towing. For installation rails, you'll want to use the custom installation kit # BWRVK2602, which will minimize drilling and cut down on installation time compared to universal rails.
For a Sidewinder pin box to replace your existing Lippert 1621, you'll need to use the Sidewinder # RP34FR.
