Best Snow chains for 2018 Mercedes GLE350 with 255/50-R19 Tires

Question:

Im looking for a set of snow chains for my 2018 Merc 2018 GLE350. Its a RWD vehicle with 255/50/R19 wheels and Continental M+S tyres. Can you confirm that this Konig Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains XG12 Pro - Size 255 will fit? Do you have any other good recommendations?

Yes, the Konig # TH2004705255 Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains are the best choice for your tire size. This product will give you the best performance. This includes the "self-tensioning" feature that means you don't have to check on them as much, and the diamond pattern puts more chain on the road compared to ladder-style chains. By the way, the ladder-style chains ride much more roughly. they are speed rated to 30 mph as is your GLE.

Be sure that there is ample clearance between the top of your tires and the wheel wells, and the inside wall of the tire and suspension and brake components. For your GLE only put chains on the rear wheels. Please review your owner's manual for additional guidance, particularly the "raised vehicle level" option is so equipped.

I have included a link to a video review of these chains and an installation demonstration.

In comparison, I prefer the Konig # TH2004705255 Self-Tensioning XG12 Pro Snow Tire Chains over the Konig # TH04115255 Self-Tensioning Easy Fit SUV Tire Chains because in my opinion the chain design is more aggressive than the XG12's who don't worry about tight wheel wells and where the diamond pattern on the XG's connect on the middle of the tire tread they have a bar that bites down more aggressive. however the "Easy Fit" chains are easier to install. For the best traction get the XG12's. For easiest installation get the "Easy Fits." I have included links to both products.
