Installation and Operation of Rhino Rack Batwing Awning and Maximum Height
Question:
Good morning, as the case of the batwing measures 20cm, and the maximum mounting height of the batwing is seven feet, is that from the upper or the lower side of the case ?

The maximum height of 7ft that was referred to in the question you saw about the Rhino Rack Batwing # RR33100 just refers the length of the telescoping legs. Inevitably some vehicles are taller than this and when you take into consideration the size of the crossbars and side rails, the Batwing can be mounted higher than 7ft off the ground, but it will have a slight downward tilt-which might be helpful in keeping moisture from pooling on it anyways. You're not required to mount it 7ft high in order to make it work and could be used on vehicles taller or shorter if needed.
If you check out the video I attached it shows how the Batwing awning sets up, and it basically swings out from the top, so the bottom part of the awning case would be where the 7ft would end up being measured from. The bottom of the awning case would need to be at 7ft tall in order for the awning tarp to be level to the ground.
