I have a solution for you, but vehicle side wiring is always either 4 pin or 7 pin/blade; there is not a 5 way plug that you'll be able to install on your 1999 Mercedes E-Class. You will need to add the Curt Trailer Connector Adapter - 4-Way Flat to 5-Way Flat - Vehicle End # C57187 to the Tekonsha # 119177KIT to give yourself the 5 way plug you'll need to tow a boat trailer with a 5 way plug.
I've linked an installation video of this part that you can use as a guide, but you're really just looking for the reverse light circuit on your vehicle to tap into, which is what the extra pin on the trailer connector will use for the reverse lights or to send a signal to the lockout on the actuator.
