Bike Rack Recommendations for my 2018 Flagstaff 176 Pop Up Camper Bumper
Question:
I tow a flagstaff 2018 176 Ltd pop up with a 2018 Subaru Outback. I. Bought a duel receiver set up for my car thinking I could put my standard rear mount bike rack on above my lower ball hook up of my poo up . Didn’t work bikes hit propane tanks etc. want to avoid roof mount on camper and rear bumper I’ve been told is not a good idea on pop ups. Solutions?

I would start with a rear bumper mounted bike rack like the Swagman Platform-Style 2 Bike Rack for 2" Hitches or RV Bumpers part # S64663. This will require a 4 sided bumper which means it has to be solid on all four sides rather than being a three sided bumper with the front being open. I routinely see this method being used with zero negative effects on the camper or bikes.
This allows you to not only use it on the camper's bumper but also in other 2" hitches.
If your camper does not meet the requirements then the Jack-It 2 Bike Rack for A-Frame Trailers part # LC429756 would be my choice. This will allow you to mount the rack above your jack on the pop-up and eliminate the clearance issues you are currently dealing with.
I have linked video on both of these recommendations for you to check out.
