We have the perfect combination for you to get your 2011 Ford F-250 Super Duty Short Bed set up with a 5th wheel and gooseneck system.
It's the B and W Custom Underbed Kit, part # BWGNRK1111-5W, and the B and W Fifth Wheel Hitch, part # BWRVK3400-5W. This system together will give you the option to tow a 5th wheel or a gooseneck.
The Underbed Kit is a gooseneck hitch custom designed for your vehicle and features a single hole drilled into your bed. That means when your 5th wheel is unattached, your truck bed will be completely empty for normal use. It has a little bit of drilling involved, but no welding or messing with your frame. I've linked to a video installation of this gooseneck hitch on a 2011 F-350.
Because you have the short bed, you need an offset hitch ball when gooseneck towing. I recommend the 4" Offset Ball, part # BWGNXA4085, as this is designed to be used with the B and W gooseneck hitch. You probably won't be able to make a full 90 degree turn, but it will help with clearance. It has a 20,000 pound towing capacity and 5000 pound vertical load limit. I've linked to a video review of this hitch ball.
The 5th wheel hitch I mentioned earlier, part # BWRVK3400-5W, is a sliding hitch that will give you 12" of additional clearance on your short bed and dual jaws for better king-pin contact. It attaches to the under bed gooseneck system mentioned above. It has three height settings and has a gross towing weight of 20,000 pounds with a 5000 pound vertical load limit. I've linked to a video review of this hitch as well.
