Do I Need An Adapter Bar When Mounting My Trek Verve Step Over Bike?
Question:
I have a Trek Verve Step Over. Noticed the bar is not completely straight across Do I need an adapter

It all just depends on what kind of bike rack you have. If you have a rack like the Swagman Current # S64678 or the Kuat Nv 2.0 # NV22G you will not need an adapter bar. Even if you had a hanging style rack like the Thule Hitching Post Pro # TH934XTR you won't need the Swagman Adapter Bar # 64005. On a hanging style rack your bike will not sit completely level but that is no big deal.
Any type of bike rack you use with your Trek Verve Step Over will work without an adapter bar. If it was a step through bike, you would need an adapter bar for every rack mentioned besides the Kuat NV 2.0 unless you have fenders. If you did, you would not be able to use the Kuat NV 2.0.
I've included some videos of me using these bike racks to help illustrate why you wouldn't need an adapter bar!
