How To Tow 5th Wheel Trailer with Truck That Has Gooseneck Hitch

Question:

I have a 2001 F350 dually it already has a gooseneck lip over ball in it Would you recommend changing The trailer to a gooseneck hitch . Or go with the B and W 5th wheel hits with rails

In most cases, if you have a gooseneck hitch installed and need to tow a fifth wheel trailer you'll need to install a fifth wheel to gooseneck adapter on the pin box like the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter part # CAB-C5GX1216 or part # CAB-C5G. The reason for this is because you cannot install standard above bed base rails for a fifth wheel with a gooseneck hitch in most cases.

The B&W Companion Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter part # BWRVK3500 or part # BWRVK3400 which is the exception is specific to the B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch so unless this is what you have it will not work.
