Hi everyone, Aiden here with eTrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at this Blazer Mini Warning LED Light Bar. This is gonna be a magnetic light that can attach to the roof of your truck and plug into 12-volt power in your vehicle, whether it be inside or in the bed. And it's going to give you a flashing warning light in a white LED and amber LED or a combination of both, in a variety of different patterns to just alert other drivers and pedestrians of your service vehicle, may be a tow truck, anything where you might need to have some extra visibility on the road. Let's check it out. Now, one thing worth mentioning is that on camera the light might not seem as bright, and that's something that we noticed and we've been testing these today and yesterday, is just on camera, they don't look quite the same as they do in person.
But we wanted to test this outside on a sunny day, which there's pretty much no clouds in the sky today, so this is gonna be about as harsh as the conditions get. In person, even from a great distance, the light is very visible so you can trust that it's gonna work well whenever you're using this for a service or utility vehicle. Now they do make a larger version of this light bar, one that's quite a bit bigger For the bigger trucks. I think this one works just as fine, but because it is smaller, it might be harder to see depending on where you mount it up. I think where we had it before, where it's centered up but close to the rear of our vehicle makes it more than visible enough from the back, but you might find that this works better for a smaller truck.
I know a lot of the service providers in my own neighborhood, whether it be my internet company or my electricity company, they've got smaller fleet vehicles and they use lights very similar to this whenever they're doing maintenance in my neighborhood. So on a lower-to-the-ground truck, I think this would work great. But even on the bigger applications here I think it's gonna work just fine. And this also gives us a look at how those magnets work. At the bottom, two large disks with some protective tape over there to prevent any metal-on-metal contact.
The magnets are quite strong and they fit well between the ridges of our roof, but even if they didn't the space between them could be used to place over a ridge just depending on the vehicle we're putting this on. But I do think that's gonna help keep it really still when we're going down the road. The cable is a coiled 12-foot cable. We've got it stretched pretty much to the max right now because we only have a 12-volt outlet at the front of our vehicle, and we wanted to place the light at the rear. But even with the large truck, it did work out fine, and because that wire is small, it fits around the weather seal of our door jamb pretty well, so we can just shut the door on it and control it from inside.
And inside is where we can plug that into our 12-volt power. The switch on the right will be our power switch. There's a very dim LED on there that will illuminate whenever it's on and turn off whenever it's off, so you can always know what position it's in. And the switch to its left is going to control all the different lighting patterns. Pushing up, it'll just pop right back down as we switch modes, of which there are nine in total. So each of the three color combinations is going to have three unique patterns. Right now we see the amber, slow flashing. I'll switch it to the quick flashing amber and then the rotating amber. Next, it'll move on to the white LED, where it just repeats the same patterns. There's that quick flashing and the rotating. And then the next three are a combination of white and amber. So you'll see them kind of changing out and displaying both colors. So depending on the visibility conditions and where you're set up, you can probably find one of the patterns and combinations that will work best for your situation and what kind of visibility you need. The whole thing is pretty low profile, only sticking up two and 1/8th of an inch from your roof so it's not gonna be adding much height or anything like that. It's a nice solid polycarbonate construction so it's gonna be impact resistant and has an IP67 rating. So if you find yourself in rain or any sort of dusty conditions, you can trust that it's not going to intrude and start breaking this down. It's gonna hold up really well to the test of time, I think. So if you're looking for a easy way to quickly mount a light and not have to permanently install anything, I think this can be a great way to go. I like this one because it's a good in-between size. Blazer does make a larger one, like I mentioned really good for a bigger truck like this but they also make a variety of smaller ones too, if you don't need something as big. So depending on your needs, you can probably find one that's gonna work perfect for you. One thing I'd recommend looking into, is if you plan on using it in the winter at all, maybe for a plow and you find yourself in snowy conditions, looking for one of these that's heated. The larger light bar is going to be a heated one and I think it's gonna be a great option for you if you find yourself in snowy conditions, just keeping it from accumulating on the light. But if you don't have a need for that then I think this can be a really great middle of the road solution offering all those different lighting patterns and combinations to fit your needs for your service or utility vehicle. Thanks for watching.
