Roof Vent With Reversible Fan

Question:

i am thinking about replacing a broken roof vent on my 2007 Keystone NRG. Does anyone make a replacement vent with a fan that can exhaust air as well as draw air into the trailer?

Yes, there are several roof vents that exhaust air out and pull air in. Fortunately most roof vents use standard mounting hole dimensions of 14" x 14".

One of my favorite is the MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan and Thermostat # MA00-06200K. It has 10 speeds to increase or decrease the air flow and fan speed. It can pull fresh air into the trailer, or exhaust the stale air out. When the lid is closed and the fan is on, it acts like a ceiling fan and circulates the air quite well.

It has 2 modes, manual and auto. In manual mode it has 10 settings to control the fan speed and airflow. In auto mode it uses the thermostat which is set to 78 degrees. When the temperature gets above 78 the fan kicks on, and when it drops below 78 it will turn off.

The other thing I like about the vent, is that it has a built in rain cover. So even if it's wet outside you can still run the fan and have air circulation without having to worry about the inside getting wet.

The MaxxFan Deluxe comes with most everything you need to get it installed, however I would recommend using Roof Vent Installation Kit # 344270KITW so you can make sure the vent is sealed to the roof properly and prevent any kinds of leaks.

You can check out the fan and installation kit with the videos I linked.
