Which adaptor kit do I need for the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller when my tow vehicle - a 2012 Toyota RAV4 6 cyl - does not have any brake controller wiring?

The first thing you need to install a brake controller like the Curt Echo is a 4-way harness confirmed as a fit for your 2012 Toyota RAV4 if you don't have one already. For that you'd want the Tekonsha part # 118412 which is easy to install and more reliable than other options overall due to a better designed converter box.
Next you'll need to convert the 4-way to a 7-way which to do that all you'd need is the part # ETBC7L which is a kit we put together specifically with the Echo in mind as it comes with everything needed for it to install.
