I have a 2006 Tahoe Lt 4x4 with factory tow hooks and lower front air dam plastic skirt. Which front hitch for my Tahoe. I want to use it for a cooler/fishing pole rack on the beach

The Curt # 31302 is a confirmed fit and will be a great choice for you. This hitch will prove durable over time because they use a slightly thicker powder coat than other brands. This hitch will require trimming your air dam, but you won't lose your tow hooks.

It sounds like you will want to use a cargo carrier like the 20x59 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - Folding - 500 lbs # C18151 and use an anti-rattle hitch lock like # 63232

I have a front hitch that is a confirmed fit for your 2005 Chevy Silverado 1500 LD, but the part #65028 is only for the HD models. Instead, you would want the Curt part #31302 which is a confirmed fit.
