Brake Controller and 7-Way Trailer Connector Recommendation - 2016 Mazda CX-9
Question:
Hello, I recently installed a 4 pin harness with one of your kits. Videos made quick work of the task. Ive recently thought of pulling a small trailer, but they recommended a 7 blade connection, but they dont suggest a conversion. Im curious what you recommend, as well as a trailer brake so I can use electric brakes on the trailer. 2016 Mazda CX9

The easiest controller to install would be the Curt Echo, part # C51180 which would wirelessly connect to your smart phone and allow you to use the phone to control the trailer braking. Since you already have the 4 pin trailer connector installed, all you need is the # C51180 Echo and the # ETBC7L install kit. The kit includes the 4 pin to 7-way trailer connector adapter and the necessary wire and circuit breaker to connect to the positive battery terminal.
I'll link you to a product video showing how to use the # ETBC7L kit and a demonstration video showing how the Echo works.
