Rear Suspension of 2015 Ram 1500 Squats When Towing Camper

Question:

I have 2015 Ram 1500 Crew and want to add these to take away the sag pulling my Camper. TDR1500DQ is this a good choice?

The Timbren # TDR1500DQ Rear Suspension helper springs would be a decent choice to eliminate some of the sag you experience when towing, but these are best used to support loads carried in the truck bed. To counteract the sag caused by a trailer's tongue weight, a weight distribution system is your best bet.

The system you use will depend on the tongue weight of your trailer when it's fully loaded as you would normally tow it. I'll link you to an article that discusses how to determine this. For campers, I'd recommend going with a system that also provides some sway control, as campers are pretty vulnerable to trailer sway caused by crosswinds or passing traffic.

I really like the Fastway e2, because they work very well and they're reasonably priced. For a fully loaded tongue weight ranging from 400-600 lbs, use # FA94-00-0600. if it's between 600-800 lbs, use # FA94-00-0800 or between 600-1000 lbs, use # FA94-00-1000. The hitches do not include the trailer ball. For a 2 inch ball, use # A-90 or # 19286 for a 2-5/16 inch ball. To install the trailer ball, a 1-7/8 inch thin walled socket is needed. If you don't have one, we offer it as part # EQ70-00-4800.

I've linked to a demonstration video where my buddy Dave shows how to set up a Fastway e2 system.
