Carrying Single Bike on Swagman S64678 Current Bike Rack
Question:
I recently purchased the swagman current platform 2 rack. I am wondering, when I am only carrying one bike on the rack, does the placement of the bike matter? I have a step over frame so the smaller hook works best, but I wasn’t sure if one bike could be on the rear platform or if the weight of my bike should be more anterior and closer to my car like with other non-platform racks.

If you're carrying a single bike, it's recommended that it be carried closest to the rear of the vehicle, which is also where you'd want to place the heaviest bike when you're carrying two bikes. If need be, you can always swap the position of the hooks in order to make your step through framed bike fit better.
