Platform Bike Rack for Travel Trailer with 1 1/4 Inch, SUV with 2” and Truck with 2.5” Hitch

Question:

I would like a quality rack, ideally platform, to carry 2 mountain bikes, one with carbon frame, behind my travel trailer, SUV, and truck. They have respectively 1.5, 2 and 2.5” receiver hitches. What do you recommend? Thank you.

The Kuat Transfer V2 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount # KU84FR would work great with your travel trailer with a 2" hitch. Since it is wheel mounted carbon rack, it will not harm your carbon frame.

To use this rack with your truck, you would need the Curt Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeve - 2-1/2" to 2"
Item # C45405.

To use this rack with your SUV, you would need the Hitch Adapter 1-1/4" to 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver # HTAD. Using this adapter will reduce the capacity of your car hitch by 50%. This should not be a problem because the bike rack with bikes loaded do not weigh very much. The bike rack weighs 63 pounds. When you add the weight of your two bikes, just check your hitch capacity, divide it by 2, and make sure you are still in the capacity limit. This should be fine.
