Installing the Atwood A/C on 2019 Keystone Cougar 5th with In Command

Question:

I watched your video on installing Atwood Air Command Rooftop RV Air Conditioner - 11.3 Amps - 13,500 Btu - Ducted - Black on a 2018 Keystone Cougar 1/2 ton 5th wheel.. I have a 2019 Keystone Cougar 1/2 ton 5th wheel 30RLS with that In Command system to control the whole trailer.. My question did the 2018 Keystone where you installed this a/c have the in command and did you just bypass the system? If so that is fine I just want to make sure it will work??? The down draft you used can you shutoff the the forward vent so it is not blowing on your face while you sleep? Thank you Gary

The Atwood Air Command Rooftop RV Air Conditioner - 11.3 Amps - 13,500 Btu - Ducted - Black # AT15032-22 was not installed on an In Command system but it is compatible with that system. We simply setup the system independently. The vents are angled but they are not able to be closed off on this system.

If you want a quieter system with a vent that doesn't blow in your face, I recommend the Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System - Manual - 13,500 Btu - White # FR52PR or you can use the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner w/ Air Distribution Box, Start Capacitor, and Heat Strip - 13,500 Btu # ACM135BCH which gives you the most control for air direction due to adjustable registers on the front and back of the air distribution box. The In Command system would be bypassed by these systems.
