High Capacity 2 Inch Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500HD Short Bed
Question:
I have a 2003 Silverado 2500 HD 6 1/2 ft bed and am looking for a new hitch. Is this C15322 the highest capacity rated 2inch hitch for the money? Is there something with a higher rating for less money?

For the most capacity at the best price I would look at Curt trailer hitch # C15302. It is rated for 2,400 pounds tongue weight and 16,000 pounds gross trailer weight. Check the owners manual of your 2003 Chevy Silverado for the towing capacity and always go by the lower rating whether it be the hitch or the truck.
The hitch you referenced C15322 has been discontinued.
This hitch does require the factory bumper on the truck for installation. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you.
To complete your towing set up I also recommend the etrailer ball mount kit # EBMK2416. It comes with a ball mount, 2 balls, a hitch pin and clip, and a carrying bag. If you need to add trailer wiring I have included a link to those options as well.
