Trailer Hitch and Bike Rack Recommendations for a 2008 Subaru Impreza Hatchback With Spoiler

Does part # TH9001 or #TH9002 would fit to this model of Subaru? Is removing the spoiler needed?

The spoiler on your 2008 Subaru Impreza will prohibit the use of a trunk mount bike rack. If you were to remove the spoiler then you should be able to use a trunk mount rack and either the Raceway 2 or 3 ( # TH45JV or # TH56BV ) would fit.

If you cannot remove the spoiler then I recommend using a trailer hitch and hitch mount bike rack. For a trailer hitch to fit, your Impreza will need to have single exhaust. I recommend hitch # DT24959 which is a Class I hitch with a 1-1/4 inch receiver.

The most you can carry on a Class I hitch is 2 bikes. So, for a compatible rack, I recommend the Swagman Titan, # S63400. This rack comes with anti-sway cradles, an integrated cable lock, and it can tilt down. I have included some links on the hitch and bike rack for you.

If you will be carrying women's, children's, or alternative frame bikes I recommend using a bike adapter bar, # 64005 to be able to carry those bikes level and providing more ground clearance. I have linked a video showing how it works.
