Distance from Hitch Pin Hole to Edge of Arms on Swagman Trailhead 4 Bike Rack
Question:
I’m looking at this rack to mount with a dual-tow receiver between my 2018 Toyota Highlander and a lightweight travel trailer. Can’t find the length of this rack from hitch pin to tips of arms, so I know what length hitch extender I’ll need to ensure adequate turn radius. My plan: Dual-tow hitch with bike rack on top, hitch extender length TBD on bottom + 2” ball hitch. Have done the math on tongue weight, towing weight, etc. including the 50 reduction in capacity for using the hitch extended... anything else I’m missing? Thanks!

From the center of the hitch pin hole to the furthest edge of the arms on the Swagman Trailhead 4 Bike Rack # S63380 measures 38-1/2".
The only thing that you're missing is that most dual hitch adapters will reduce the weight rating by 50% and then any hitch extender has a 50% weight reduction as well. To keep your trailer hitch weight rating the highest it can be I recommend using a Gen-Y Hitch like part # 325-GH-303 as the dual hitch adapter because it is built in such a way that Gen-Y says the weight rating of your hitch won't be reduced.
