Minimum Air Pressure Requirements of Firesetone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs
Question:
Is it alright to run the bags without air, without a load? Haven’t had it under a load yet. I will real soon. Instructions for installation was not as good as the video.

According to Firestone, a minimum of 5 psi should remain in the bags at all times. The only time they recommend leaving them completely empty is if the vehicle needs to be put on a lift and the axle isn't able to be supported.
I've linked to some helpful articles about Firestone air helper springs.
