Help Finding Brake Controller Install Port on 2018 Toyota Sequoia
Question:
I purchased the Curt Spectrum Trailer Brake Controller part C51170 as well as the Toyota Sequoia specific pigtail part C51362. Im having trouble locating the factory pigtail to plug the Curt pigtail into. I have a 2018 Toyota Sequoia Platinum with the factory tow package 7 pin connection. I took off the kick panel on the drivers side and have not been able to locate a pigtail to plug the controller into in that location. Not sure where else to look... Thanks,

On your 2018 Toyota Sequoia the factory brake controller plug is located underneath and to the left of the steering column, taped to another harness near the emergency brake pedal. There will be a 5-pin connector that mates with the one on harness # C51362. I have linked a video showing this harness being installed on an older Sequoia to show you the general location and what it looks like.
You may have to remove the kick panel next to the emergency brake pedal and it could be tucked up to where it isn't easily visible. The brake controller and harness are all that you will need if the vehicle came with a factory 7-Way connector.
