Cargo Capacity of 2008 Aztex 6 x 10 Utility Trailer

Question:

Hello, I just purchased a 2008 Aztex trailer. I am trying to find out the cargo capacity how much cargo weight it can carry and/or GVWR but there is no tag or sticker showing that information. Here is what I know about the trailer. 2008 Aztex Utility type, 12inch side rails, flat/open body 6x10 box size 2inch ball size for hitch Single axle, 2 3/8inch diameter 15inch diameter wheels ST205/75-15 tire size, load range C 1820 lbs I would appreciate any help you can provide. Thank You,

Expert Reply:

A 2-3/8 inch diameter axle beam is typically a 3500 lb axle. You can further confirm this if the trailer wheels have a 5 lug on 4-1/2 inch bolt circle and if the hubs use a L68149 inner and L44649 outer wheel bearing.

So, if you weigh the trailer on a truck scale or the scale at a quarry or material supply place, subtract the empty weight of the trailer from 3500 lbs and you'll have the cargo capacity.
