Recommended SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs for a 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 Towing 5th Wheel

Question:

I just got a 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE, 4X4, crew cab short box, 5.3 liter, total GCWR is 15000 lbs, curb weight 5230, max payload 1870 lbs, Max tongue weight 940 lbs. Camper set up is: Reese 15,000 lbs rated fifth wheel hitch on the truck. Camper is 6800lbs dry weight with 16000 lbs Reese Sidewinder hitch box. PS bought the SideWinder from you guys and that is the best hitch setup I have ever had Looking at a SumoSpring due to simplicity and the fact I only tow it a few times a year on short trips. What size do I need 1000 or 1500. Just got the truck and it has a lot more squat than I had hoped it to. Also we may be upgrading campers to a bit larger one. Leaning towards stiffer but not sure. Your input would be greatly appreciated your advice. Thanks,

I recommend the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs part # SS45FR for a 2019 GMC Sierra 1500. The extra support this higher rated set offers would be ideal for larger trailers like a fifth wheel. The SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs part # SS65FR would be better for smaller travel trailers.
