What Is Recommended Space for SumoSprings On 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500

Question:

What is the recommended gap height for these springs? The Timbrens state 1-2 to 1-1/2 inches, but I can’t find anything on these springs. Also, I cannot seem to find extra spacers for these, as my 2020 Trail Boss comes with a factory 2” lift. Can I use Timbren spacers with these springs?

The SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs part # SS45FR which are a fit for a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 will provide around a 1/4"-1/2" gap between the spring and contact point. These will have a much tighter fit than the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System part # TGMRCK15S but since they are softer won't create any ride quality issues.

If the vehicle has been lifted, you can use spacers like the Timbren 1" Spacer For Raised Frame Vehicles part # A25723-90AH00.

What is the height of the actual part #SS45FR without the spacer, and what is the spacer height? This will help me determine if I need to purchase any additional spacers for my factory 2" lifted Trail Boss to achieve the desired gap between the helper springs and the frame stopper

The spacer included in the kit will be about a 1" spacer. I would say you would be fine with just using this kit. The springs will just engage slightly later than that of factory height.
