Can Hitch on Rear of 2020 Forest River Rockwood Ultra Light Handle Carrying 4 Bikes

Question:

I just my Rockwood trailer and noticed it has a receiver, looks to be 2”. I have a 4 bike, bike rack that is 75 lbs. Will the hitch hold the rack and 4 bikes? What is weight capacity? Mor the towing capacity. Thank you

The receiver on your travel trailer should have a capacity sticker on it somewhere. Lacking that, you'd want to contact Forest River, who will be able to provide that information for you.

Keep in mind that only certain bike racks are designed for use on the rear of a travel trailer. The rear of a travel trailer is subjected to much more rattling and banging than what you'd find on a passenger vehicle because A) the rear overhang of a travel trailer is typically greater than what you'd see on a passenger vehicle and B) because the more simplistic suspensions used on travel trailers, they will ride much more rough than a passenger vehicle. Because of that, the bike rack must be specifically designed to meet those rigors.

The only 4 bike rack we offer that's rated for use on the rear of a travel trailer is the Swagman Original, part # S64400. It has an anti-rattle pin and a flexible top plate to accommodate different frame sizes.
