Can I Use the RedArc Tow Pro Liberty on a 2011 Ford Expedition
Question:
can you please tell me if Redarc brake controll 331-EBRHV2 is compatible with Reese Multi-plug Harness 74682 thank you

Expert Reply:
Yes. You can use the RedArc Tow Pro Liberty # RED24FR with your Reese Multi-Plug Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 7-Way and 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector # 74682; it really doesn't matter since it doesn't directly plug into the brake controller. With that said, since that is not the factory trailer connector, unless the # 74682 was replacing a factory trailer connector you will need to hardwire in the RedArc Tow Pro using # RED69FR; a wiring adapter like the # 3035-S cannot be used during installation because the plug is not available.
If you want to avoid hard wiring into your vehicle, you can instead use the Curt Echo Mobile # C51180 which is a wireless brake controller that will simply plug into your Reese Multi-Plug, and then allow your trailer 7 way to plug into it. The brake controller can be controlled manually with your iOS (8.0 or newer) or Android (4.4 or newer) smart phone and it will provide proportional braking control of your trailer. This is a great, easy to use and install option that a lot of our customers really love.
I've linked a video of the Echo for you to have a look at, as well.
