If you've got a HydraStar EOH Actuator, then yes, the # HBA-CAM will work well with the factory integrated brake controller module on your 2020 GMC 3500 HD. If you don't have a HydraStar EOH actuator on your trailer, your best bet is going to be installing a brake controller that is compatible with EOH brakes and bypassing the factory system.
If you're going to go that route I recommend using the Curt Echo Mobile # C51180, which is a wireless brake controller that is compatible with EOH brakes and is controlled by your smartphone. The Echo is a plug and play option that installs using the 7 way connector on your truck, so there is no wiring into the truck required and provides you with responsive, proportional braking for your trailer. The Echo requires your smartphone operating system to be iOS 8.0 (or newer) or Android 4.4 (or newer), but otherwise is compatible with any vehicle with a 7way connector.
