Wiring Curt C56322 and 37185 4-Pole/ 7-Way Adapter to Vehicle Battery for Wireless Brake Controller

Question:

I ordered #37185 Adapter 4-Pole to 7-Pole and 4-Pole and I want to use it to turn the installed part C56322 in my Chrysler Pacifica into a 7 pole/4 pole. I have the cable to the battery going to the converter box from the Curt part. I wont be using the purple nor the blue wire from part #37185 since Im going to use a wireless controller. My question is: should I undo the black cable coming from the battery to the converter box and put it directly to the black cable of this part #37185? will that work? Im concerned that since the converter box wont have power, then this approach wont work. Your expertise is appreciated on how to use these two parts so I can transform my 4 pole into a combo 4/7 pole. Thank you.

In order to power both the taillight converter and the 12-volt feed on the 7-way, you'll want to run two circuits from the rear of the vehicle to the positive battery terminal. The # C56322 converter includes the necessary wire, fuse holder, fuse and hardware to make the connection at the battery. To power up the 12-volt feed on the # 37185 adapter that feeds the wireless brake controller like the Curt Echo # C51180, you'll need a length of # 12-1-1 wire long enough to attach to the black wire on the # 37185 and reach the positive battery terminal. You'll want to install a 40A breaker, # 9510 inline on that circuit, as closely as possible to the battery. You'll also need two # 44-5310A 3/16 ring terminals and a # 44-5356A 5/16 ring terminal.

I've linked to some installation videos that explain how to install the # C56322 and the power feed to the # 37185.
