Recommended Hitch Extension and Drop for Using Bike Rack on Jeep Wrangler with Spare Tire
Question:
Im looking for a drop receiver for my hitch. I have a jeep wrangler with a spare on the back and I need to be able to extend the hitch and drop it so that the door can swing open when the bike rack is on the vehicle. I need it to extend a minimum of 4 inches and I need it to drop a minimum of 8 inches. What product do you recommend that will fit this description and cost the least? Thanks

Normally the Roadmaster Dual Hitch Adapter # RM-077-8 is designed for use with a flat towing setup but I don't really see the harm in pairing this with your bike rack. It measures 10" long and has an 8" drop like what you're looking for.
You're going to need a hitch pin like the Curt # C21500, but I also recommend tossing in the etrailer Anti-Rattle Hitch Stabilizer # e99007 since you'll be adding another connection point to your setup.
