Can Thule EasyFold XT Carry 60 lb Bikes on a 2019 Acura RDX with Class I Hitch
Question:
My 2019 Acura RDX has a factory installed 1-1/4inch Class 1 hitch. I need to transport two e-bikes weighing approx. 60 lbs each. Will the Thule easy fold support the weight of these bikes with the 1-1/4inch Class 1 hitch or do I need to change the hitch? Thank you in advance.

The good news is that the Thule EasyFold XT # TH903202 can easily carry both of your 60 lb E-Bikes since it has a weight rating of 65 lbs per bike. The bad news is that if 60 lbs what you're left with after taking the battery off then you'll actually be overloading your vehicle weight rating by about 15 lbs.
If the 60 lbs you mentioned is with the battery still on each bike then you should be able to remove it which will put you right around the 150 lb mark which I got from your owner's manual.
When I checked out the online version of the owner's manual for your 2019 Acura RDX, at the most it can handle a 1,500 lb trailer and they recommend having 10% of that as tongue weight, so that would be 150 lbs. The EasyFold XT weighs in at 45 lbs so then we add both of your 60 lb bikes (120 lbs together) and we are at 165 lbs, but again without the batteries you should be good.
