Does Exhaust Need Lowering To Install Curt Class III C13416 on 2020 Toyota RAV4
Question:
I viewed both installation videos for the 2019 and 2020 RAV4’s and the difference was ping the exhaust on the 2020 instal, but not on the 2019. Can the Curt hitch be installed on the 2020 without ping the exhaust? Thank you.

Per the instructions, it's not necessary to lower the exhaust to install the Curt # C13416. This being said, you might find it easier to get the hitch into place and insert the fasteners if the exhaust is out of the way. This is why our technician chose to do so.
If you'll be using the hitch for towing a trailer, you'll also need a # C56434 wiring harness, a # 40346 ball mount in the rise position, and a # PC3 hitch pin. For a 1-7/8 inch trailer ball, use # 19260 or # 63845 for a 2 inch.
