Does Blue Wire of Hopkins 4-Way to 5-Way Adapter Need to Connected
Question:
regarding Hopkins adapter 47515 I may want to not wire up the blue wire - the backup lights. In that case will the other lights still work on the trailer?

Yes, the trailer lights will work if you don't connect the blue wire of the Hopkins # 47515.
With that being said there's not much point in getting the adapter if you're not going to connect that wire. The 4-way you already have will connect a trailer's 5-way. you'll just have an extra exposed pin on the trailer side.
