How Could Pace Edwards UltraGroove Tonneau Cover Carry Bike Racks

Question:

With the proper hardware, do you think it would be possible to mount bike fork mounts such as RockyMounts LoBall Truck Bed Bike Carrier onto the rails of this cover and have the bikes rest on top of the cover? Would the cover support the weight of up to 5 bikes? My inspiration for this idea is from a picture I saw on a forum that I have attached.

The Pace Edwards UltraGroove Metal Retractable Hard Tonneau Cover # 311-KMFA05A28 was designed to allow a roof rack install in the channels of the cover which will allow you to install a bike racks but it would take an unknown amount of fabrication to attach a racks directly to the rails.

So for a rack to fit the cover you'd want the Yakima JetStream rack part number # Y00427-482104. Then you could install a fork mounted bike rack like the SwitchHitter # RKY1270.

Please recommend a rack and rail system to carry (2) Rad Power Fat ebikes (68# each) on Pace Edwards UltraGroove Metal Tonneau Cover for 2020 Ford F150.

The Yakima JetStream System # Y00427-482104 will work great for the crossbar setup, the issue though is that there aren't any roof rack bike racks available that are designed to support heavier e-bikes like yours. Your best option will likely be with a hitch-mounted carrier.
