Can A Weight Distribution System Be Used On a 2011 Honda Pilot
Question:
Hello! I will be towing 3500-4000 pounds behind a 2011 Honda Pilot. I see the owners manual says they do not recommend a weight distribution hitch? Is that something to worry about? Would I be okay to still use one?

Expert Reply:
The use of a weight distribution system can be restricted on certain vehicles, usually ones with a unibody frame such as the 2011 Honda Pilot because they are not rated to handle the added stress these systems have. Therefore, I cannot recommend this but we do have options that will take the place of a weight distribution system. The Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System part # THROD2 will reduce sag/squat and the Curt Electronic Sway Control System part # C94VV will reduce sway if the trailer has brakes. That said, these are really your only options.
