Gooseneck Options for 2013 Ford F-150 Short Bed With Interfering Mount
Question:
It looks like there was a factory fifth wheel hitch and the original brackets and bolts are in the way, do we grind off the original bolts flush, what do we do?

If there is a 5th wheel hitch bracket in your 2013 Ford F-150 then you would need to remove it to install a different hitch like the Hide-A-Goose Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch with Custom Installation Kit - 30,000 lbs # 9465-37 you referenced. There wasn't a factory hitch option in your truck so it is aftermarket. You do not want to grind down anything, so you will either leave it or completely remove it.
If you do have the pucks then I recommend going a different route. You can get the gooseneck hitch # 16055 which is compatible. If you have above bed 5th wheel rails, then I recommend using the adapter # RP30845.
