The Curt Front Hitch part # C31020 would be an excellent choice for your 2008 Jeep Liberty so that you can do some snow plowing.

For a compatible snow plow that would do a great job and would be very easy to use I would recommend the Snowbear # SB324-080.

This plow is super easy to use as it can be totally controlled from the interior of your vehicle. The blade is 82 inches wide and 19 inches tall which is a great size for your application.

Yes the install of the Curt front hitch part #C31014 on your 2003 Ford F-250 does use the front leaf spring bracket like you mentioned. I attached a picture I took from the install instructions (also linked) that shows how it all goes together.
