Is Yakima HoldUp EVO 2 Bike Rack Compatible with 1-1/4 Hitch on 2013 Honda CR-V
Question:
Good morning - Im considering purchasing the Yakima HoldUp EVO 2 Bike Platform Rack - 1-1/4inch rack. Depending on the answers to two questions I will make this purchase through eTrailer. Q1: Can I put this rack on my 2013 Hondar CRV it has a 1 1/4inch hitch? Q2: Will this rack carry bikes with a step throughinch frame or frame where the cross bar between the saddle and the handle bars is not straight across? Thank you,

Yes and yes! The Yakima HoldUp EVO # Y02480 is compatible with any 1-1/4 hitch receiver (Class I and II), like the Curt # C11555 and Draw-Tite # 36520. If the hitch on your 2013 Honda CR-V is a factory hitch, as long as it's not recessed more than 9 inches behind the bumper ( which is unlikely), it will fit without a problem.
Because the HoldUp EVO secures your bikes by the wheels, the frame of your bikes won't make a difference, so it can easily accommodate bikes with step through or alternative bike frames, like you mentioned having. As you can see in the attached photo, the rear wheel is secured via a ratcheting wheel strap, and the front wheel is held down with the ratcheting arm hook, for zero frame contact!
