Brake Controller Installation 2017 Nissan Pathfinder
Question:
First, is there a plug for a brake controller under the dash for a 2017 pathfinder sv? Second, I bought and installed a hitch and 4 pin trailer harness last year from you. Now because of a small camper I purchased I need the 7 pin to activate the trailer brakes. When I installed the 4 pin I installed 3 relays in the and 1 under good. What is the easiest way to install the new 7 pin. This vehicle as Im sure you know does not have factory tow. Thanks

There is indeed a brake controller connector under the dash of your 2017 Nissan Pathfinder. It's located under the dash, to the left of the steering column. Look for a harness with a white tag that reads 'Brake Control Conn'. The plug you're needing is attached to that harness. If you're going with a Tekonsha Brake Controller like the # 90885 Prodigy P2 you'd looked at, you'll need the # 3050-P wiring harness.
Since you don't have the 7-way trailer connector, you really only need the 7-way socket and pigtail, but unfortunately we cannot obtain those individually and you'll need to go with the entire # 118273 kit to provide the 7-way trailer connector.
I've provided a photo showing where the brake controller connector is located. I've also linked to an installation video showing a similar controller being installed on a 2018 Pathfinder. Your installation will be identical.
