How To Confirm Fitment of the Curt Above-Bed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch With Above Bed Rails

Question:

I just got a new truck that has 5th wheel rails. I measured them to see the actual sizes and it looks like unit fits the Reese style. Will the curt adaptation plate fit these rails? If not what are my options for these rails? It’s a short bed and the truck sits kind of high so I want as little height increase as possible but I like the offset to push it back a few inches from the cab.

Helpful Expert Reply:

The majority of above bed fifth wheel base rails use what is referred to as an industry standard pattern and this industry standard pattern works with most fifth wheel hitches and gooseneck plates. The Curt Above-Bed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch part # 16055 works with the industry standard above bed pattern so you will be good to go. There so long as your rails are spaced 22" apart center to center and you have the two inside slots which are spaced 10" apart left to right then the Curt Above-Bed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch will work.
