Is Removeable Arm Spacing the Same on All Roadmaster Base Plate Kits

Question:

Confused. Installed your brackets on 2001 Chevy Tracker. Will all new/used Falcon 2 towbars line with the gizmos that bolt onto the removable arms? Seems different vehicles and base plates would have varying distances. Or are they all same distance between?

The Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar # RM-520 does come with a crossbar that features those gizmos Roadmaster likes to call "Quick Disconnects". That crossbar is the same size (there is only one) no matter the vehicle, but is only used when paired up with a crossbar-style base plate kit, like the one you installed on your 2001 Chevy Tracker, # 1012-1. So yes, crossbar-style base plate kits by Roadmaster all share the same horizontal spacing between arms so that the Quick Disconnects on the vehicle side line up with the ones on the tow bar.

When paired up with a Direct Connect style base plate kit, the Falcon's crossbar is then removed to allow the arms to freely adjust and as the name states, be directly connected to the u-shaped brackets on the removable arms. The arm spacing on this style of base plate kit likely doesn't change too much either though.
