Oh and I have a 2006 Jeep Commander 4x4 and I was wondering is the standard hitch that is on this car good enough or do I have to buy this part or something bigger? Thank you

Your Commander may have a hitch rated heavy enough to carry your carrier. You will need to check your owner's manual or inside the driver's door jamb to get the weight ratings for your Jeep. Check the hitch itself and make sure the tongue weight rating is heavy enough. If you cannot find these ratings your dealer should be able to help you with that. The 75338 Class III receiver hitch you have selected is rated for 500 pounds tongue weight. When deciding if you can mount your motorcycle carrier to the hitch and safely transport it, you need to calculate the total tongue weight that will be placed on the receiver. The total tongue weight will be the weight of the motorcycle plus the weight of the carrier and the weight of any cargo carried behind the rear axle in your Jeep. If that weight is under 500 pounds and your vehicle and motorcycle carrier are rated to carry the weight of your motorcycle, you are good to go. I do not know of a hitch rated for a higher tongue weight than those we offer for your Commander.
If the motorcycle covers the taillights of your vehicle, you should consider wiring and lights to attach to your carrier. We have the 118408 wiring harness for your 2006 Jeep commander and a light kit like # e98943-44LED that you could use for this purpose. I have posted links to the items mentioned above and to our trailer hitch classes page for you.
