Finding Correct Replacement Vent Lid for Enclosed Trailer

Question:

Good morning, I have an enclosed trailer with the vent system on top but the plastic cover has been completely ripped off. In order to determine the right size I need, do I measure the size of the opening inside perimeter or the outside of the aluminum frame of the vent? I measured about 13 by 13 in the inside perimeter so can you tell me what size I will need. Thanks

When measuring for a replacement vent lid, you will want the outside dimension of the housing that extends through the trailer roof. This dimension is typically 14 by 14 inches.

Closely examine the remaining portion of the vent, looking for a manufacturer name or model number. If you cannot find that information, you can examine the replacement lids we offer (see link) and match them up by the dimension of the housing and the style of hinge. Each replacement lid will have a detailed photo somewhere on the product page showing the style of the hinge.

If you cannot match up your existing vent with the correct replacement lid, you will need to replace the entire vent.
