Does the bottom opening on Rhino Areo bar need the Vortex Strip RRM626 or is the whistling from the top only?

The bottom of Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero crossbars like the 54 inch # RRVA137B-2 do not require the strip go on the bottom of the bar.

The Replacement Vortex Strip for Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars # RRM626 is designed to go on the top crossbar channel.

If a roof rack is whistling and there is a channel on it that is exposed the solution is adding more of the rubber strip to cover the hole. For that you would want the part #RRM626 which is 15-3/4 inches long but can be cut to size as needed.

I went out to our demo area and measured replacement strip #RRM626. It is 7/8 inches wide at the top, 1/2 inch wide at the bottom, and 3/16 inches tall overall. I have included a picture showing the dimensions for you.
