Does the EcoHitch for the 2017 BMW X5 Require Fascia Trimming?
Question:
Does this hitch require any fascia trimming on a 2017 X5? I saw a comment that Cutting is required on a 2016 model and do not want to cut the fascia on my 2017.

I reached out to the folks over at EcoHitch and the EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2"
part # 306-X7265 that you looked at will not require you to cut the rear fascia on your 2017 X5. This hitch also has a removable receiver tube opening so when not in use will not affect the look of your X5 at all.
If you need wiring the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness w/ 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 119250KIT is a solid choice and it also doesn't require any cutting or splicing of the wiring unlike most others available for your X5. It has sensor that clip around the wiring to get the signals rather than actually having to tap into them. I've linked this below as well as an installation video my buddy Rob did here at etrailer.
