I checked with Valley Industries and the part number you referenced 30608, is not designed for use with the 2012 Nissan Frontier. It is designed for Titan and Pathfinder vehicles.
The correct wiring harness for your Frontier without a factory tow package would be part # C56225. The relays and harnesses in this package will provide all the parts for activation of the brake-turn-taillights on your 2012 Nissan Frontier. We have a video showing this installation that should be helpful, see link.
If you require a 7-Way RV style trailer connector at the back of your vehicle with wiring for 12 volt power and an electric brake controller, you will need to add the electric brake controller installation kit, # ETBC7. We have detailed installation instructions for this kit, see link, and a video which shows this kit being installed on a 2009 Toyota Tacoma. The vehicle in the video is different, but installation of the kit will be essentially the same.
If installing a brake controller, like the Prodigy P2 part # 90885, the brake light switch wire on your 2012 Frontier should be a yellow wire, check with a circuit tester to be sure. This is the wire you will need to splice the red brake controller wire to.
