Curt Hitch Recommendation for Carrying a Bike Rack on a 2012 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport
Question:
Is the opening in the Hitch between 1 1/4inch and 2? Id like to mount a bicycle carrier model TB1-2BSA to it, and on the website it says that the bicycle rack carrier can be mounted to both a 1 1/4inch and 2inch vehicle receiver hitches. Thank you for looking into this.

The Curt Trailer Hitch part # C13079 that you referenced has a 2 inch opening and would work well with a bike rack that is designed for hitches with 2 inch openings like the model you referenced.
Curt recommends the use of a stabilizing strap like part # 18050 any time you carry a non-supported load like a bike rack or cargo carrier.
Check out the installation instructions I attached for this product I attached.
